Police looking for new leads in woman's disappearance

GASTONIA, N.C.,None — Gastonia police are redistributing missing person fliers in the case of a woman who was last seen in 2008.

Jennifer Ramsey Rivkin, of Kings Mountain, has been missing since May 4, 2008. A vehicle she was driving was found two days later at a bar and grill on West Franklin Boulevard in Gastonia, and her purse was still inside the vehicle, police said.

Investigators said Rivkin was last heard from in a cell phone message she left for a friend on May 4, 2008.

"The photo has been changed in the hopes that she might be better recognized by anyone who might know what happened to her," said Detective A.L. Fleming III.

Anyone with information can call Fleming at 704-866-6878 or Crime Stoppers of Gaston County at 704-861-8000. Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
