Officer, suspect shot during traffic stop A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officer is in the hospital after he was shot during a traffic stop Sunday night, the department said. The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. in southwest Charlotte on East Arrowood Road at Nations Ford Road.
