RALEIGH, N.C. — Ten new driver license examiners are being assigned to 10 offices of the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles.
Division officials say in a news release that the new examiners graduated Friday from training school and will begin work Monday. They'll be assigned to offices in Morganton, Huntersville, Cary, Carrboro, Wendell, Charlotte, Garner and Gastonia, along with two Raleigh offices.
DMV says it's hiring more examiners to try to improve customer service, along with express lines and dedicated road test teams. It says its customer service representative are helping people in line to make sure they have the right documents.
The examiners graduated after four weeks of classroom study at the N.C. Justice Academy in Salemburg.
