SNEADS FERRY, N.C. — State officials closed a North Carolina daycare where a worker was accused of intentionally dropping an 11-month-old boy last month. Now, a second daycare employee is charged in the incident, according to our news partners WCTI.

News outlets reported the corporate office of Childcare Network confirmed that the state closed its daycare at Sneads Ferry until further notice.
Police charged 23-year-old Bethan Pringle with felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury. An investigation showed that Pringle hurt the 11-month-old boy by intentionally dropping the child on its head on June 10.

Monday, investigators said they arrested and charged a second employee, 19-year-old McKayla Sausser, with felony child abuse causing serious injury.
Deputies said Sausser is accused of assaulting the boy by "repeatedly forcibly pushing the child's head down in a crib."
