WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — An arrest has been made in the shooting death of a man outside a Cook Out restaurant in North Carolina.
U.S. Marshals arrested 28-year-old Jamel Shannon Kinzer in Charlotte on Thursday in connection with the shooting of 26-year-old Gabriel Dominguez Parral in Winston-Salem.
Winston-Salem police said in a statement that Parral was shot early Sunday in the Cook Out parking lot and died Wednesday at a hospital. The shooting appeared to stem from an argument between Parral and Kinzer, who were waiting in separate vehicles in the restaurant's drive-thru lane.
Kinzer is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. Further details haven't been released.
It's unclear whether Kinzer has a lawyer.
