RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State University police are investigating the death of a student who plunged from a building near the heart of campus.
A university spokesman tells The News & Observer of Raleigh that investigators do not suspect foul play in the death of the male student who fell from the university's Dabney Hall on Monday. The victim's name was not released.
According to the university's website, Dabney Hall is a nine-story building, where chemistry, statistics and physics classes are held. It is close to "the Brickyard," a large plaza at the center of campus.
Counseling was available for students late Monday.
