MLB Draft lottery: Washington Nationals secure the first pick of the 2025 draft, followed by Los Angeles Angels and Seattle Mariners

The third edition of the MLB draft lottery took place Tuesday at the winter meetings in Dallas, setting the order for the 2025 MLB Draft, which will begin July 13 in Atlanta as part of the sport's All-Star festivities.

The No. 1 pick went to the Washington Nationals, who had a 10.2% chance of securing the top spot. The Cardinals and Mariners were the biggest risers, making their way into the top six picks after having a less than 10% chance of doing so. The Rockies and Marlins were tied with the best odds to land the No. 1 pick, at 22.5% each, but ended up at No. 4 and No. 7, respectively.
