CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — Charlotte Bobcats owner and former Wilmington resident Michael Jordan has purchased a condo in uptown Charlotte at the corner of Fourth Street and Tryon Street.
Sports blog site, SportsbyBrooks.com, reported the news on their website this past weekend which furthers the notion that Jordan is focused on an increased commitment to the city after purchasing the NBA franchise.
The former University of North Carolina star and six-time NBA champion has purchased the two condos on the top-level and combined them into one for $3.15 million.
The residence is 7,000 square feet and approximately two blocks from Time Warner Cable Arena, where the Bobcats play home games. Contractor Cox Schepp has constructed a private elevator that would lead from the lobby to Jordan's condo.
According to SportsbyBrooks.com, Jordan joins Bobcats forward Boris Diaw in the building.
