According to the Sheriff’s Office, an Indian Trail business – Pro Printing – reported funds from its checking account were placed into a personal loan for Platt without their permission. Investigators determined Platt had been to Pro Printing just prior to the funds transfer and concluded he had taken a photo of a check lying on a desk.
Platt was a frequent customer of Pro Printing in his role with the Mint Hill Athletic Association. There was no indication from UCSO that any funds from the youth sports organization were misused.
