CHARLOTTE — From sizzling shows and concerts to family-friendly festivals, here’s what’s happening in Charlotte this weekend.

Kick off the weekend at the 2nd Friday Street Festival at Oak Street Mill in Cornelius where you’ll find a BBQ food truck competition, live music, children’s activities and other festivities.

Grab a blanket or chair and head to Park Road Park on Friday for Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation’s free Sundown Sounds concert series.

Watch a movie under the stars at Village Park in Kannapolis on Friday where “Puss in Boots” will be showing.

It’s the final weekend Broadway fans can see the musical “Six” in Charlotte. The show is playing at Belk Theater through Sunday.

It’s a busy weekend for music fans! On Friday, Melissa Etheridge is playing at Knight Theater and blink-182 is at Spectrum Center. Country music singer Luke Combs plays at Bank of America Stadium on Friday and Saturday. Young The Giant performs at Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre on Saturday and Erykah Badu performs at the Spectrum Center on Sunday.

Pack a blanket or chair and check out the Concerts on the Circle series in Davidson on Saturday.

Celebrate National Hot Dog Day with gourmet dogs, a hot dog costume contest, live music and other entertainment at Sugar Creek Brewing’s Weiner Fest on Saturday.

Play your favorite board games at the Potions & Pixels afternoon event at Camp North End on Saturday. The event is free to attend, and all ages are welcome.

It’s “Super Saturday” at ImaginOn in Uptown where families can enjoy storytelling, magic, music and other entertainment.

Dress in your favorite tropical attire for Wooden Robot Brewery’s 8th anniversary party and summer bash on Saturday. There will be special beer releases, live music, food trucks at other festivities.

Enjoy a summer block party that celebrates Charlotte’s Black creative culture at the latest installment of A Vibe Outside, which happens on Saturday on West Trade Street.

Join Divine Barrel Brewing for A Moment of Divine Clarity: A Celebration of Clear Beer on Saturday. In addition to clear beers there will be bluegrass music and food trucks.

Ready for a road trip? Head to downtown Lenoir for the North Carolina Blackberry Festival on Friday and Saturday. There will be music, a blackberry eating contest, fresh blackberries and blackberry cobbler for sale, and children’s activities.
