CHARLOTTE — From cheering on the Checkers to a Broadway favorite, here’s what’s happening around Charlotte this weekend.

Broadway fans can be in the room where it happens! “Hamilton” opened at Belk Theater in Uptown this week. Performances run through Feb. 2.
Grab your cowbell and check out the Charlotte Checkers when they take on the Hershey Bears at Bojangles Coliseum on Friday and Saturday. The team will also be on home ice on Tuesday and Wednesday to take on the Milwaukee Admirals.
Get ready to laugh out loud when Des Bishop performs at the Comedy Zone on Friday and Saturday.
The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra will celebrate the sounds of the Classical era with its “Bach and Mozart” program at Knight Theater from Friday through Sunday.
It’s “Super Saturday” at ImaginOn in Uptown where families can enjoy storytelling, music, and other activities. Children’s Theatre of Charlotte will also hold performances of “The True Story of the Three Little Pigs” at ImaginOn on Saturday and Sunday. The show runs for two more weekends.
