Your Mom’s Donuts to shut down Charlotte-area operations

CHARLOTTE — Your Mom’s Donuts will shutter its operations next month. Owner Courtney Ahern says the artisan doughnut shop’s last day will be Feb. 5.

“Lots of things went into this decision,” Ahern told the Charlotte Business Journal. “Inflation, raised rent, a tough labor market. It’s just a really hard time to be in this industry.”

The popular doughnut concept currently operates its flagship location on Monroe Road in Matthews, has a storefront at Park Road Shopping Center and sells its products at the Davidson Farmer’s Market.
