YORK COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities in York County responded to a police SWAT situation Wednesday night, the Sheriff’s Office tweeted at about 8:50 p.m.

It was reported on Brian Road near Clover and is still an active situation.
The SWAT situation was resolved peacefully, the Sheriff’s Office tweeted at about 9:40 p.m.
"I'm thankful that our highly trained SWAT and negotiator personnel were able to successfully resolve this incident peacefully,” Sheriff Kevin Tolson said. “Any day we can deescalate a potentially violent encounter is a good day."
