YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A year after a deadly ambush in York County claimed the life of a detective, one of the officers injured has returned to work for the first time since that tragic night.

Sergeant Randy Clinton returned to light duty on Monday. He was one of four law enforcement officers shot when they responded to a domestic violence call on Jan. 15, 2018.
Investigators said Christian McCall shot the officers when they showed up at his home.
Det. Mike Doty died.
McCall pleaded guilty and is serving life in prison.
