WSOC-TV's Liz Foster named weekend evening anchor

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Liz Foster has been named weekend evening anchor at WSOC-TV. Foster joined the Eyewitness News team in April 2015 as anchor of the weekend morning newscast and reporter.

Foster will anchor Saturday and Sunday Eyewitness News at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. as well as Eyewitness News at 10 p.m. on TV64.

“It’s important to recognize growing talent within our own station,” said Joe Pomilla, WSOC Television, Inc. Vice President and General Manager. “Moving Liz to this new role is part of our continued focus to deliver the best in local investigative news coverage.”

“Liz’s commitment and compassion to local news helps WSOC-TV deliver important information to viewers every day, with a perspective on how it will affect our community,” said Julie Szulczewski, WSOC-TV News Director.

Before coming to Charlotte, Foster was an anchor and reporter in Springfield, Illinois. She earned a broadcasting degree from Georgia Southern University.
