HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A wreck involving a trailer carrying three horses closed Interstate 77 South at Exit 25 (Sam Furr Road) Wednesday night, the Huntersville Fire Department tweeted.

The crash happened at about 6:45 p.m. and also caused a propane leak, which was quickly controlled.
Law enforcement and Animal Control responded to the scene.
The condition of the horses has not been released and troopers have not said what led to the wreck, which remains under investigation.
