CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The pandemic has forced some people from their homes onto the streets, and into tents. As temperatures drop, one woman is gathering donations to help them.
“I just thought it was a worthy cause and wanted to get involved,” Mary Barton Ross said.

Ross asked her community to donate clothing, food, bedding, toiletries and socks for those living in “tent city” in uptown Charlotte.
