CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Fire Department helped rescue a worker that was injured at a construction site Thursday evening.
It happened on Midway Park Drive in south Charlotte around 5 p.m. on the fifth floor of the building. Officials said the person fell about eight feet
Chopper 9 Skyzoom was overhead as crews put the person on a stretcher and lowered the person to safety.
Officials said the person was taken to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
Firefighters said the rescue took 56 minutes to complete.
