CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A fire was started at 4:15 a.m. in the kitchen at the Randolph Hills Apartments in southeast Charlotte.

Firefighters cleared the scene on Burkland Drive around 6 a.m.
One woman went to the hospital with smoke inhalation.
The family will be able to continue living in the apartment.
Only one apartment was affected.
