CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man was arrested Wednesday night after police said a woman was stabbed inside an Amazon Fulfillment center in west Charlotte.
The crime happened around 7:20 p.m. at the Amazon CLT2 facility on Old Dowd Road.

Police said the man stabbed the woman in the back with a large knife. MEDIC said she was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said the stabbing happened inside the facility and that the man and woman knew each other.
Officials have not released the suspect's name and no other information was provided.
Amazon sent Channel 9 this statement:
"The safety of our employees is our top priority. Amazon has a zero-tolerance policy for violence in the workplace and our thoughts are with our employee who was injured in this incident. Amazon employees, contractors, visitors and vendors are prohibited, at all times, from possessing any weapon or item deemed to cause harm. We are working with local authorities to support their investigation."
