SHELBY, N.C. — A woman said she was attacked by a man with her own iPad and a knife while doing paperwork in her car Monday afternoon.
The Shelby Star reported that Shelby police received a call around 1 p.m. from a woman who said she had been assaulted by a man wielding a knife.
According to police, when they got there, they found a woman crying with blood on her arms and face in the parking lot of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church off Kings Road.

The woman told officers she parked at the church to kill time between home health visits.
She said she was looking over some reports in the car when a man wearing a black ski mask, a long sleeve shirt and dark cargo pants crept up on her, opened the door and hit her with her iPad before cutting her.
Police said she had several cuts on her arms and was taken to Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby.
No arrests have been made.
