MATTHEWS, N.C. — Two men broke into a woman’s home, demanded money and shot her early Tuesday morning, the victim told Matthews police.

The home invasion reportedly happened around 2:30 a.m. on Morning Wood Drive, which is between East John Street and Pleasant Plains Road.
The woman was shot in the leg and taken to a hospital, police said. She is expected to be OK.
There have been no arrests.
