CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman was seriously injured after police said someone shot her at a south Charlotte hotel late Monday night.
Officers were called just before 11 p.m. to the Knights Inn on Nations Ford Road where they said the victim was shot in the parking lot.
Authorities arrested Jerome Thompson and charged him with attempted first-degree murder, discharging a firearm in the city and assault with a deadly weapon.
Police told Channel 9 the woman and the shooter know each other but have not said what led to the shooting.
