CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have identified a woman who was killed in a crash involving a Coca-Cola truck last Thursday in north Charlotte.
The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. on Statesville Avenue near Interstate 85 in north Charlotte, police said.
A speeding 2003 Honda Accord crossed a median and lost control through the intersection, then hit the box truck that was at a stoplight in the opposite direction, investigators said.
The driver of the Honda, Philip Agyeman, and his passenger, 41-year-old Comfort Akum Keyermaa were taken to Atrium Health Center Main. Keyemaa did not survive.

Eyewitness News reporter Anthony Kustura was there as police roped off the crash site with crime scene tape and could see the white Honda that was badly damaged, as well as the Coca-Cola box truck which had front-end damage.
Police said outbound Statesville Avenue at the I-85 bridge reopened around 11:15 a.m. after being closed for several hours while crash detectives investigated the scene.
Excessive speed and reckless driving are contributing factors in this crash.
Agyeman has been released from the hospital and charged with involuntary manslaughter and reckless driving.
The driver of the Coca-Cola truck was not injured.
Everyone was wearing seat belts.
