CONCORD, N.C. — North Carolina Highway Patrol troopers say a woman has died after a car hit her on Interstate 85 in Cabarrus County late Tuesday night.
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on I-85 near George Liles Parkway in Concord.
Troopers said a Jeep and a UPS tractor-trailer collided but when the driver of the Jeep, identified as 22-year-old Darrionah Thompson, got out of her SUV, another car hit and killed her.
The crash is still under investigation, but so far troopers have not filed any charges.
No other information has been released.
