Woman charged in deadly shooting outside home in Rock Hill, police say

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A woman has been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting in Rock Hill, according to police.

Rock Hill police responded to a home on Crawford Road just before 5 a.m. Saturday for the shooting.

At the scene, police said they found 59-year-old Michael Johnson. He had been shot in the chest and was lying on the ground outside of the home, investigators said.

Johnson was taken to the hospital where he later died, according to police.

Authorities said Johnson and 27-year-old Michia Ajuanee Johnson were arguing before they got into a physical confrontation. Police said at some point during the fight, Michia Johnson shot Michael Johnson.

Officer arrested Michia Johnson and took her to the Rock Hill jail. She was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a crime of violence.
