CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman told Charlotte-Mecklenburg police a man assaulted her and pointed a gun at her at the Ninth Street light rail station in uptown, then ran away on Monday.

The 54-year-old woman called the police that afternoon following the altercation.
The victim checked into the hospital Wednesday.
No arrests have been made.
