GASTONIA, N.C. — A woman died after she and her two children were hit by a minivan last week in a Walmart parking lot.
Gastonia police said a woman driving the van hit the family on Thursday night in the East Franklin Boulevard parking lot.
The mother was pinned between a tree and the minivan and the kids were “thrown aside,” police said.
All three were taken to a hospital. The mother had life-threatening injuries.
On Monday, the woman’s loved ones confirmed to Channel 9′s Ken Lemon that she had died over the weekend from her injuries.
Gastonia police investigators are asking for any witnesses to come forward. However, they did not release information on any arrests or charges.
No further information was released.
