ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police have arrested three suspects after a shooting near Winthrop University Friday night.
Police said just before 4:30 p.m., an officer in an unmarked vehicle witnessed suspects in a silver Impala shoot into a residence on Lancaster Avenue.
The third suspect is in custody at this time. The K9 search has concluded. Officers will still be visible in the area. All suspects are in custody.

The officer was able to get behind the suspect vehicle and coordinate with other officers to respond to where the vehicle was driving. As other officers arrived to the area, the suspect vehicle drove off and initiated a chase.
Officers pursued the suspect vehicle on Charlotte Avenue, where it ran a traffic light and hit another car, disabling the suspect vehicle.
Authorities said officers were able to take two suspects from the vehicle into custody. The third suspect ran, but was later arrested.

Thailan Jackson, 20, was charged with discharging a firearm into a dwelling, unlawful carrying of a handgun, criminal conspiracy, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and failure to stop for blue lights.
Anthony Byrone Burris Jr.,18, was charged with discharging a firearm into a dwelling, unlawful carrying of a handgun, criminal conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
In addition, a 16-year-old was charged with discharging a firearm into a dwelling, unlawful carrying of a handgun and criminal conspiracy.
No one was injured during the shooting, but two people were taken to the hospital after the suspect vehicle hit their car.
Rock Hill police said Winthrop University did issue a campus notification about the shooting, but the shooting did not happen on the campus.
