CHARLOTTE — As school wrapped up for the year Wednesday for many Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools students, one teacher plans to keep the learning and fun going all summer long.
Channel 9′s Erika Jackson learned how Nancy Bullard’s commitment to learning is reaching millions of children.
Hundreds of elementary students developed a love for learning in her science lab, but her virtual classroom has reached more than three million students.

The Huntingtowne Farms Elementary School teacher created her TikTok account “mrs.b.tv” in March 2020. Her hands-on science experiments have garnered more than 44 million views from kids and parents.
“All of the sudden, everybody is at home looking for things to do with their kids. And so it really took off,” she said.
Bullard said the experiments in her videos are the same lessons she teaches in the classroom. Each experiment incorporated items that people would likely already have in their kitchen.
“Seeing those ‘aha’ moments or these moments of just absolute amazement is something that I’ll just never ... it will never get old,” she said.

Bullard hopes her love for science will inspire girls to pursue a career in STEM, and continue to make learning fun in and outside the classroom.
“Maybe this is a chance for kids to continue learning all throughout the summer, and that’s what I hope,” Bullard said.
She plans to continue making videos throughout the summer.
