CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-based Wild Wing Café filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on July 19, after closing many of its restaurants across the Carolinas over the past several months.

The company, filing under a number of limited-liability entities headlined by Aetius Companies LLC, claims it has between $10 million and $50 million in assets and at least $10 million to $50 million in debts.

The Wild Wing partnerships are owned and managed by former Carolina Panthers star wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad II and Denis Ackah-Yensu, according to the filing. Mark Cote is listed as Wild Wing Café president since September 2022 and was named CEO in May.
