CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Popular fast-casual salad concept Chopt debuted its expanded kids’ menu in the Charlotte market last week.
It’s the first — and only — market to roll out Chopt Jr., a menu that takes classic kid-approved fare and puts a healthy twist on it.
“We were looking to do more,” says Nick Marsh, chief executive of Chopt. “Our feeling was it hadn’t been fully executed for kids.”
Previously, the only offering dedicated to kids was a side salad.
If successful here, the kids’ menu would roll out across the state by the end of the year and all 60-plus Chopt locations by the end of 2020.
“This allows us to try some things without moving too far down the road,” Marsh adds.
