‘Who is the Greatest of All Time?': Jeopardy brings back greatest players to compete in showdown

Jeopardy’s three biggest champions are preparing for a showdown to determine once and for all, who is the greatest of all time.

The answer-and-question quiz show is doing something it has never done in 30 years -- appear in a prime time special. It is set to air Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST on Channel 9 and officials said it will be a “multiple, consecutive night event.”

Hosted by Alex Trebek, the three champions will compete in a series of matches and the first to win three will receive $1 million and the title of “JEOPARDY! The Greatest of All Time.”

The runner-ups will receive $250,000 each.

Ken Jennings is famous for his record breaking 74 game winning streak in 2004. He also has the highest winnings in regular-season play with wins totaling more than $2.5 million. In total, he has won more than $3.3 million.

Brad Rutter is the top money winner on any TV game show, pocketing more than $4.6 million in all the games he has played.

James Holzhauer shook up the system last year by taking home over $2.4 million in just 32 games. He also holds the crown for single-game winnings and holds the top 10 records for single-game winnings.
