CHARLOTTE, N.C. — With North Carolina’s stay-at-home order now extended through May 8, with a phased reopening planned after that, it’s not likely that many of the Charlotte region’s office denizens will be back to pre-pandemic routines for some time yet.

It’s a good thing, then, that the state ranks among the top 10 nationwide for working from home.
That’s according to a recent ranking by personal finance website WalletHub, which puts the Tar Heel State at No. 9 on its list of the “Best States for Working From Home.”
South Carolina is at No. 28.
