HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Airlie Baby has claimed the fourth tiny retail kiosk at Birkdale Village. The boutique will offer infant and toddler clothing with bamboo and organic cotton options as well as toys and books. Gifts for new moms will be available.
Mother-daughter duo Robin Galloway and Samantha Stevens plan to open Airlie Baby in October. They’re also behind home décor, gift and baby store Airlie Square in Mooresville. Airlie Baby is located in The Grove, near Regal Cinemas.
Other tenants of the tiny retail kiosks include lifestyle boutiques Beck on Broad and Cosmo Gypsy. Handcrafted gourmet dessert vendor Morelia Gourmet Paletas is set to open in October.
Birkdale owner North American Properties has also wrapped up construction on a number of enhancements at the 52-acre mixed-used development, off Sam Furr Road in Huntersville. It is investing $20 million into the retail complex.
The Plaza now offers a 6,000-square-foot open-air gathering space. There’s a covered stage and 10-by-18 LED screen for family movie nights and broadcasting events such as college and Carolina Panthers football games. The Plaza will host 100-plus events annually and provides additional community gathering space at Birkdale.
