CHARLOTTE — Award-winning Chef Bruce Moffett has spent the past few months reimagining his Plaza Midwood restaurant in the face of Covid-19.
NC Red — located in the former Penguin Drive-In space — reopened on Tuesday with a pared down menu, new hours and a focus on being part of the neighborhood fabric.

“We’ve tried to really hone in on what we’ve learned from being in the neighborhood for a year,” Moffett says.
The restaurant has been closed since mid-April — roughly a year after it opened.
