CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Apartment rents in the Charlotte market started off the new decade, by and large, on the rise.
Various national industry trackers showed that rents across Charlotte continued to track upward to end the year, when compared to the previous 12-month period.

Apartment List said the Queen City’s year-over-year rent growth of 2.6% in December was the eighth-highest of the nation’s largest cities that have at least 250,000 residents. Its data put the monthly median rent at $989 for a one-bedroom apartment in Charlotte and at $1,154 for a two-bedroom unit.
