CHARLOTTE — The West Charlotte High School Lions won the 3A championship.
The team defeated Seventy-First High School 14-7 on Saturday.
It’s been nearly three decades since the Lions won a state football championship.

They went into the championship undefeated and averaged 50 points per game.
