‘We’re changing the food scene’: What to expect as Heirloom reopens in Belmont

Heirloom is now open in downtown Belmont, serving a locally sourced menu (Charlotte Business Journal).

BELMONT, N.C. — Fine-dining restaurant Heirloom recently welcomed its first guests to its new Belmont home — but owner Patrick Murphy is already mapping out ways to push the culinary scene forward.

The 4,000-square-foot establishment is at 33 Glenway St., in the North Main Station.

“We are really pushing the tempo of a small community and putting the food on the map, but I think it was my goal — my duty — if I’m going to be in this to push the envelope,” says Murphy.

Heirloom dishes up simply elegant comfort food, taking familiar fare and elevating it. The menu is built around local and seasonal ingredients.

Murphy and his parents took over the farm-to-fork restaurant in 2019. It had been located in northwest Charlotte since 2014.
