CHARLOTTE — Wells Fargo & Co. is again making adjustments to its branch network here.

The bank is permanently closing its branch at 1525 W.T. Harris Blvd. in northeast Charlotte, according to Office of the Comptroller of the Currency filings.

It closed when the pandemic struck, with staff redeployed to other locations, and will not reopen, a bank spokesperson confirmed.

The spokesperson said the branch was at Wells Fargo’s Customer Information Center campus and not accessible to the public. Another branch is less than a mile away at 8300 Medical Plaza Drive.

The bank is, however, planning to build a new branch at 8352 Charlotte Highway in Fort Mill, according to filings.
