CHARLOTTE — Wells Fargo, one of Charlotte’s largest banking employers, is restricting nonessential business air travel in the U.S. to help minimize the potential spread of the coronavirus.
“Our first priority remains keeping Wells Fargo employees and customers safe and well-informed,” a spokesperson with the bank said.
Bank officials will require executive-level approval for any business air travel deemed essential.
Earlier this week, Wells Fargo implemented restrictions on all international business travel.
Officials with the bank said they will “continue to follow all public health guidance and remain focused on meeting the needs of our customers while reducing the risk to our employees and customers.”
They said they will continue to monitor the situation while keeping regular communications with employees.
