CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte's largest banking employer, Wells Fargo, announced Friday morning its new CEO and president.
Charles W. Scharf will assume his new role Oct. 21. He was the chairman and CEO of Bank of New York Mellon.
Former Wells Fargo CEO Tim Sloan stepped down back in March.
