CHARLOTTE — Wells Fargo & Co. is making more adjustments to its branch network in the Carolinas, plans that include closing a Charlotte-area location.
The bank will close its branch at 9725 Rocky River Road, located on an outparcel at the Brookdale Shopping Center in northeast Charlotte and less than 5 miles from downtown Harrisburg, according to a recent Office of the Comptroller of the Currency filing. OCC filings showed that Wells Fargo also had plans to shutter two more locations in North Carolina and one in South Carolina.
Wells Fargo spokesman Josh Dunn confirmed to CBJ the Brookdale location will close on May 17 and consolidate with a nearby branch at 5075 North Carolina Highway 49 S. That branch in Harrisburg is about 4.5 miles away from the Brookdale location.
