CHARLOTTE — Charlotte’s second-largest employer has announced a half-billion-dollar upgrade to its operations.
Wells Fargo will break ground on a new parking deck and other renovations for its customer information center in University City. The bank also plans to upgrade workspaces.

The changes are in response to feedback from current Wells Fargo employees. The company says it plans to spend upwards of $500 million on improvements in the greater Charlotte area over the next five years.
Wells Fargo will host an official ceremony with various leaders on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
