HICKORY, N.C. — A waterline break is causing traffic delays in Hickory Wednesday as crews work to repair the damage at Highway 321 and 2nd Avenue Northwest.
Hickory Public Works is currently managing four waterline breaks across the city, including the one affecting traffic on Highway 321. Crews have been working overnight to cut off the 8-inch line, which required shutting down one of the northbound lanes.
Despite the break, workers have successfully isolated the broken line, ensuring that no residents in the area are without water. They are hopeful that the area will be cleared by this afternoon.
