Water bills in Union County to increase by 30% over next two years

UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Union County families are about to get a serious shock from their February water bill.

A 15% rate hike goes into effect next month, but it doesn’t end there.

The county will raise rates by another 15% next year -- which is a 30% increase in two years.
