CHARLOTTE, N.C. — This isn't something you see every day on your flight out of Charlotte Douglas Airport -- a bat, flying around a plane.

Peter Scattini said they were 30 minutes into their flight Wednesday when a bat appeared out of nowhere.
Scattini said another passenger was able to catch the bat between a book and a cup.
It was then locked in the bathroom for the rest of the flight to Newark.
Spirit Airlines has not commented on the situation.
