ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A second-degree murder suspect is being sought after authorities said he failed to show up to court for his pending trial.
Destin Lamar Sloan was arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of Kerry Gray in July 2014 in Rowan County.

Investigators said the two were arguing when Sloan pulled out a gun and shot Gray.
Sloan was released on bond while awaiting trial.
Slain is a 25-year-old black man who is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds. He has the tattoo “MO$B” across his fingers on his left hand.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said Sloan is known to carry a gun.
Anyone with information regarding Sloan’s whereabouts should call 911.
