WADESBORO, N.C. — The Walmart in Wadesboro closed its doors Sunday, which was five days earlier than expected.

A spokesperson said it's because the store ran out of merchandise.
Last month, Channel 9 reported the store was set to close Friday after Walmart said the location under-performed consistently. The store's pharmacy will stay open until Friday.
The bank inside the store will remain open into June.
