CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Urban Food Group will unveil two new concepts in Charlotte later this year.
That Raleigh-based restaurant group — a venture by husband-and-wife team Kevin and Stacey Jennings — has snagged second-generation restaurant space in SouthPark and south Charlotte.

They will expand their portfolio with two new brands: Bar Marcel and a still-to-be-named venture. The Jennings expect to invest $1.2 million into those concepts.
“We feel like there are markets and concepts to be opened,” says Kevin. “We feel great about where we are going to be.”

Urban Food Group currently operates five upscale-casual restaurants in Charlotte, Raleigh and Denver. Vivace, the Jennings’ first Charlotte concept, opened here in 2009.
